Kayla (K’la) is a DMV-Philadelphia based yogi, birthworker + wellness facilitator specializing in providing accessible trauma-informed, non-performative wellness support for women, children + BIPOC communities.

Kayla’s passion for creating safe, accessible spaces for all-bodies to deepen their connection to self shines through in her asana practice as well as perinatal offerings.

Kayla also serves as a prenatal/postpartum doula and is an aspiring midwife in training. She is currently a contracted community birthworker (CBW) with Mamatoto Village in DC, providing labor/delivery and postpartum in-person support. She has supported 30+ families in 2025 and looks forward to providing additional offerings through her personal perinatal practice, Born & Handled Warmly Births in 2026.

Kayla received her 200-hr YTT certification from Monarch Yoga in 2022, 85-hour PYTT certification from Awakened Spirit Yoga and has over 15 years experience of asana practice and 4 years of birthworking experience. She currently provides in-person, private and corporate trauma-informed, non-performative vinyasa, prenatal and restorative yoga sessions. She offers workshops centered on racial equity in corporate spaces + corporate wellness, mindful living + menstrual support and the importance of rest + self-care.

Kayla’s birthwork offerings include but are not limited to birth plan consultations, in-person labor & delivery support, postpartum at-home support and labor and delivery photography. Packages are assessed and determined based on client needs.
